30 Picked From 3,600 Agents

Aliso Viejo, Calif. July 27th, 2005 – The Real Estate Apprentice™ Foundation today announced that they will be releasing the names of the 30 Semi-Finalists for Season II of the Real Estate Apprentice next Wednesday. This group of 30 has been selected from an original pool of 3,593 applicants.

"We are now down to the top 1% and the final judging is very competitive as the semi-finalists are all great rookie agents," said Dr. Martin Oliver, the Foundation's Deputy Director. The leading real estate school with the most students in the semi-finals is IFREC Real Estate School in Orlando, Florida, closely followed by Champions Real Estate School, Hogan’s School of Real Estate, Barney Fletcher RealtyU®, Armbrust Institute, Howard Perry & Walston Real Estate School and Austin Institute. The Semi-Finalists represent a true cross section of new agents across the country with 84% semi-finalists being educated by a RealtyU® school and 16% from other real estate schools. While Georgia featured the strongest in Season I, this season has Texas and North Carolina on top, with Florida and Michigan in 3rd and 4th position. There are also semi-finalists from Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, California, Kansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Nebraska, Maine, South Dakota and Tennessee.

During August a panel of 12 independent judges will now narrow the field of 30 Semi-Finalists down to the 10 Finalists and ultimately the overall Winner of the Real Estate Apprentice for Season II. The Finalists will each receive a Grant valued at $5,000 and the winner will receive a Grant valued at $75,000 and join Season I Real Estate Apprentice, Kendra Shearer of Georgia, at the Power Broker Dinner at the NAR convention in San Francisco in October, where they will each be recognized and honored for their achievements.
