Jones & Manderson Announced As Next Two Real Estate Apprentice® Finalists

Grand Prize Winner To Be Announced February 16th

Aliso Viejo , Calif. February 8 th, 2005 – (Part 2 of 5) The Real Estate Apprentice™ Foundation today announced that Sheena Jones and Veronica Manderson were the second set of two Finalists chosen from over 1,500 applicants in Season I of the 2004 Real Estate Apprentice Grant. Both Jones and Manderson will receive $5,000 worth of real estate education products and services. They received their licensing training at REALTORS® Real Estate School in Chicago and Hogan School of Real Estate in Tuscon respectively. Both schools are part of the RealtyU® network of real estate schools. Grants are sponsored by RealtyU®, iSucceed Real Estate Mentoring, First American Residential Group, Hobbs Herder Advertising & Design, Success Strategies Institute, McLean International, Thomson Learning, CyberSpace Society, Broker Agent News and RIS Media.

Sheena Jones was born in Chicago and attended Rich Central High School. She spent her junior year in college at the University of Sheffield, in Sheffield, England, and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Economics. Sheena also received an MBA in International Marketing from the American International University in London. During the MBA program she wrote a marketing plan for a small company launching a new cosmetics line. This plan resulted in their partnering company granting them an $8.5 million marketing budget. Jones began in insurance sales and won numerous awards and was quickly advanced to Field Sales Trainer. Jones has had articles written about her in company magazines and has taught marketing classes for a couple of years at a local community college. Recently Sheena published a book called Get A Life! In the City: Chicago, The Ultimate Guide to Classes, Sports, Social Clubs and Volunteer Opportunities in the City and Suburbs . The main reason Jones decided to enter the real estate industry is to help empower individuals, families and businesses through the complicated real estate transactions.

For Veronica Manderson, real estate has been a family legacy. She was raised in Southern California, fell in love with the sheer beauty of the state and found herself drawn to the real estate industry. For the past 12 years Manderson has developed and sold her own residential properties. She is known for finding inexpensive and common materials and using them in uncommon ways, turning each home into something magical. Manderson received a BA from Long Beach State in Child and Language Development, graduating Cum Laude, and subsequently attained an MA. Veronica also received a 2-year Fellowship as Director of the Children’s Language Clinic, and was the undergraduate instructor during her Masters study before deciding to become a real estate professional.
