Announces Opening of its 2nd Grant Season
Aliso Viejo, Calif. January 5th, 2005 – The Real Estate Apprentice™ Foundation this week announced the opening of their 2nd Grant Season during which they anticipating awarding approximately $1million in grants to newly licensed real estate agents. The application period starts this week and continues through June 30th, 2005.
Applications for the first roll out season just closed last week on December 31st and some 1,500 applications were received, most during the last 60 days before closing. According to Foundation Deputy Executive Director, Dr. Martin Oliver, the response was so overwhelming towards the end the Foundation was processing applications till the very last day, Friday December 31st. “Based on interest we are expecting 10,000 applications during the first six months of 2005 and between 15,000 – 20,000 applications during the second six months of 2005,” he said.
The goal of The Real Estate Apprentice™ Foundation is to assist newly licensed real estate agents to start a new career as a real estate agent. All enrollees qualify for a grant of approximately $200 while 10 lucky real estate agents each receive $5,000 and one person receives a grant of real estate training, products and services totaling $75,000. The overall winner will also receive the title of the Real Estate Apprentice™. Participation is free and no purchase or repayment is required. The program is open to all new real estate students that are US or Canadian citizens or legal residents that have taken or will be taking a real estate licensing course during the six month grant season period (January 1st to June 30th) or 90 days preceding this period.
